Vancouver: Van City or The ‘Couv

The view from my hotel in Vancouver, BC. Yeah, I am totally spoiled by my company. But I had to work hard delegating to people to get things done this week…

Here are some sites from Vancouver.

What’s that? Dressew Supply. Can you believe I just came across it on my walk to Kinko’s? Or is it more likely that I purposely overshot Kinko’s so I could be at Dressew for 9 when they opened? What do you think?

Here’s what I got.

The green print is a silk chiffon. I don’t wear a lot of green but I have green eyes so I figure I should give it a try. The champagne (actually labeled taupe in the store, but, ewww, taupe?) is a bamboo stretch knit. (The white is the bedspread.) I almost bought the grey but I find stretch fabric in grey sometimes looks too much like athletic wear. I took a photo of the knit fabric alone but it looked boring even to me. Will be much more interesting once it’s sewn up into something wonderful.

I also bought a pattern storage box (which won’t fit in my suitcase going home) and a more crafty item. More on that another time.

Pretty restrained, eh? I actually got a phone call while in the button aisle and I had to quickly pay for the items I had, and fly. (Work intruding on more important things, like shopping, again.) Dressew is a 10 minute walk from my hotel so I may get “lost” again before the end of the week.
