I wanted to call my jacket something inspired from the UK. What better than Annie Lennox/Eurythmics “Here Comes the Rain Again”?
Stein and I scheduled this garment photo shoot earlier in the week for Sunday so it wouldn’t be so busy downtown. Then it decided to snow. In April! I know!
I decided to take advantage of the photo shoot to get a good look at the new sculpture in our downtown. Wonderland. It’s pretty incredible from further away…
…and close up. She’s beautiful.
All set for rain in London! (My jeans are not dirty, that’s snow continuing to fall all morning.)
Inside the jacket is the “London sites” fabric!
Inside the Wonderland sculpture looking out. Isn’t it serene? or terrifying? Something from Doctor Who?
All done! Ready for London! I hope London is ready for me!
What I’m listening to: Set the World on Fire by David Bowie
Love your jacket! The print inisde is such a cool surprise. And that sculpture!!! Holy heck that’s beautiful!
Thank you! I may go one more post on the details of the jacket.
The sculpture is a pretty cool photo shoot location. Not my usual boring at home shots. 🙂
What an awesome coat! I love how cheery the blue exterior is and the inside is like a little bit of fun waiting to be unleashed. I like the bit of grey piping, it sets off those seams nicely.
Thanks! I do like it though it is very bright. My hubby will be able to find me in a crowd!
This is a FABULOUS Minoru! So pretty & practical. Two more sleeps until I fly to London!
I’d be totally jealous if I didn’t have my own trip planned.
Have a great time and drop me an email of tips if you don’t blog about it please.
I don’t want to miss a thing!
When are you leaving? I am planning to blog but we will see how we go, i habe a lot on! I’m also going to do a tour of Paris for trims, buttons & lace!
I leave May 2. Back on the 12th. If I don’t blog while away I will do up a post when I get back.
Have a great time! Enjoy every second!
Your jacket turned out great! I like how the London sites fabric peeks out the top collar.
Thanks! I loved that fabric the minute I saw it! Hopefully I can get a photo of me at those sites with the jacket.
That is a great coat. All set to keep you warm. Love the fabrics. Great job.
Thanks so much! It’s a bright jacket, for sure. Since we get about 4 days of rain a year it won’t be seen too frequently.
I hope to make a more subtle version of the Minoru. 🙂
I like your jacket and it’s pretty light colours. BTW That sculpture is fabulous!
Thanks! I love the colours too.
Will be better in rain and not snow!
Your jacket is just as stunning as the statue! Both are amazing pieces of art and how lucky you are to have both of them 🙂 Oh by the way I’m a HUGE FAN of Annie Lennox/Eurythmics and you couldn’t have picked a better song for this post!!
Thank you so much! We have a few lovely pieces of art in my city.
I guess my jacket is another one! 😉
Your jacket is fabulous! I love the sculpture too, something I could spend hours looking at.
Thanks so much!
I love that our city is gaining a little culture. Since my city has only existed since the 1890’s it’s quite young. We are finally learning the importance of beauty and art.
Looking forward to seeing true history in London!
You look fantastic and I LOVE that jacket!!! so gorgeous on both counts. Also I was remembering that a year ago today I was on a plane to Coachella (sad) and it was a snowstorm as well. Not missing the epic alberta winters!!
Watching Coachella streaming live this weekend!
Your Minoru is fabulous! And so is your photography location, wow, loved the inside out picture, freaky! 🙂 Your lining gave me a giggle, very appropriate for your upcoming trip, have fun xx
Thank you! I’m trying to take more interesting garment photos.
Looking forward to reading your older posts.
You are going to look fab walking around London. The jacket came out great! I love how cheerful it is.
🙂
I will say hi to the UK for you.
I’m looking forward to going. At least my husband will be able to spot me in a crowd.
Thanks for dropping by!
This jacket is divine. I love the fabric and the fit. Enjoy the envious stares while you’re wearing this fabulous raincoat.
The jacket is fabulous! Enjoy your trip to London. Based on your photos, I think we live in the same city.
